Richard Gordon and Willie Miller at Captain Tom's studio

Thank You for Clicking

By now, you will have realised that this was our small April Fool from Finn Moray. It was made in good humour and with real affection, and we hope it gave you a smile rather than a start.

What matters most to us is the spirit behind it. Richard and Willie were tremendous sports in taking part, giving their time and energy to support the real singers and stories behind AON: THE GATHERING. They joined in for the right reasons, to help shine a light on the people, places and voices at the heart of this project.

We are especially grateful to Willie for throwing himself into his first acting role with such warmth and generosity. He was superb. Richard was exactly the same. Both brought great humour, real class and a willingness to back something bigger than themselves.

That bigger idea is the Finn Moray Social Compact, which sits at the centre of everything we do. This project is about celebrating Scottish communities, supporting genuine local talent, and making sure success flows back to the places and people who inspire the music.

So yes, we had a little fun. But the purpose behind it is entirely serious. We are here to champion the real singers on AON: THE GATHERING and the communities they represent, and we are very lucky to have Richard and Willie helping us do exactly that.

A Wee Message from Richard Gordon and Willie Miller

Two legends. One take. All heart.

Write Songs. Find Talent. Help Good Causes.

Finn Moray is a Scotland-based music project built on a simple idea: that music can do more than entertain. It can connect communities, celebrate place, and drive real support to the causes that matter most.

Every song on AON: THE CALL was written about a real place in Scotland. Every singer on AON: THE GATHERING is a local voice from the community that inspired the song. And through the Social Compact, 50% of net profits are allocated by an independent board to Scottish community causes — chosen by the people involved, not by us.

Since January 2026, Finn Moray has already supported the MUGA Project in Aberchirder, Beatson Cancer Charity, Reverse Rett, Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre, Cornerstone, Friends of ANCHOR, the Aberchirder & District Community Association, and the Paul Lawrie Foundation.

This is not charity. This is a social compact — blending commercial ambition with community purpose. Every album sold, every hoodie bought, every donation made flows through the same structure.

"We wanted to do something that would make people smile, and when Willie and Richard agreed to be part of it, we knew it would be special. April Fools should be fun — and this was great fun."
— David Sheret, Founder of Finn Moray
