The Scottish Football Supporters Association (SFSA) and Finn Moray have joined forces to launch a unique opportunity for SFSA members: a nationwide search for the live singer who will become the World Cup voice of The Bard #2.

The announcement follows discussion on BBC Radio Scotland’s Off the Ball with Stuart Cosgrove and Tam Cowan, featuring SFSA Director and Scotland international Dave McPherson alongside Finn Moray creator David Sheret. The partnership has also been championed by BBC radio and TV presenter Richard Gordon.

The Bard #2 is featured on Finn Moray’s debut album, AON: THE CALL, and has been selected as the SFSA’s official World Cup song. SFSA and Finn Moray are now calling on the Tartan Army to bring forward the voice that can carry the track into the tournament, from terraces and supporters clubs to screens and sound systems across the campaign.

"Supporter culture is built on belonging and shared voice. This is a chance to find a singer from within our own community who can represent the Tartan Army with authenticity. We want SFSA members to nominate someone who can turn a great song into a moment that travels with Scotland."
— Alexander Gibb, Project Manager, SFSA

How Nominations Work

To nominate a singer, SFSA members should follow three simple steps. First, be a member of the SFSA. Second, buy AON: THE CALL on download, CD, or vinyl. Third, email your nomination to [email protected] including your name and SFSA membership number, the nominee’s name, location and contact details, a short note on why they should be the World Cup voice of The Bard #2, plus a performance link if available — even a phone video is helpful.

Nominations close at 12pm on Saturday 28 February 2026. Shortlisted singers will be contacted with audition details.

Community Benefit and Profit Sharing

The selected singer will participate in an agreed profit share arrangement linked to song activity. The SFSA will allocate its share of proceeds to good causes. Finn Moray also operates under a published Social Compact that commits a significant portion of net profits to community and cultural benefit across Scotland.

"Scotland has a creator class that deserves to be taken seriously. People who build audiences through craft, consistency, and character, and who often carry community on their shoulders without ever calling it that. The Finn Awards is our way of recognising that work properly, with heart, and with a structure that ensures the value flows back into Scotland through each winner's chosen charity whilst also supporting and recognising them."
