The Paul Lawrie Foundation and Finn Moray today announce a new partnership that will see "Two Stars on Our Chest" adopted as the official anthem of the Paul Lawrie Foundation, bringing together two north east names bound by pride, community and giving something back.

The partnership unites two projects with deep roots in the region. The Paul Lawrie Foundation works to support young people through opportunity, sport and wider community engagement. The Foundation's aim is to get as many young people playing golf as possible, running competitions and development opportunities across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire for juniors roughly aged seven to eighteen, based at the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre on South Deeside Road, Aberdeen.

Finn Moray is a Scottish music social compact project rooted in real places, with a commitment to return 50 per cent of net profits to the communities and causes behind the songs. AON: THE CALL as a fifteen-song debut album built on a Social Compact that returns 50 per cent of net profits to community causes, with "Two Stars On Our Chest" included in the track list.

Under the arrangement, the Paul Lawrie Foundation will share in that 50 per cent of net profit give-back pool through revenues generated by Finn Moray, creating a direct link between the success of the music and support for the Foundation's work with young people in the region.

"This is a great initiative, and I'm delighted to get involved. There is real heart in what Finn Moray is trying to do, and 'Two Stars on Our Chest' captures something that means a great deal to so many Aberdeen fans. If the song can help shine a light on the Foundation and support the work we do for young people locally, then that is something I am very pleased to be part of."

"Paul, for me, is one of the most prominent Dons fans in the world and one of the greatest sportsmen ever to come from this region, indeed from Scotland. What he does for local kids and for people in general is phenomenal. The whole Lawrie family are always giving back and supporting others, so it is only right that we do our bit to help the great work they do."

A Song for Aberdeen

At the heart of the partnership is "Two Stars on Our Chest", a song written by David Sheret under his songwriting pseudonym Finn Moray. It is a celebration of the great Aberdeen side of Sir Alex Ferguson's era, and of the immense team spirit, pride and force of character that made that period so unforgettable for Dons supporters everywhere.

The partnership is all the more natural because Paul, his family and David are all massive Dons fans. This is not a loose association or a passing alignment. It is a collaboration rooted in genuine affection for Aberdeen, for the club, and for the values of loyalty, hard work and giving something back. That bond is strengthened further by fellow Dons fan and BBC radio and television presenter Richard Gordon, who is currently helping both Paul and David on separate projects. It adds yet another northeast thread to a partnership already shaped by shared affection for Aberdeen, its football club and the wider idea of giving something back.

The song has already found a strong place in the Aberdeen fan landscape, having become the theme tune for ABTV and Ally Begg's Aberdeen FC podcast, and it is also in line to be performed live by a celebrity Dons supporter on AON: THE GATHERING, which is currently in production as its second album.

Two Things at Once

For Finn Moray, the partnership is a powerful expression of the project's wider purpose: to create songs that do not simply celebrate people and places, but help support them too. For the Paul Lawrie Foundation, it brings a new cultural and fundraising connection to a project explicitly built around community return.

In that sense, "Two Stars on Our Chest" now stands for two things at once: the memory of one of Aberdeen Football Club's greatest eras, one of their greatest ever sportsmen and a living commitment to the next generation.
