Finn Moray has confirmed that two-time Latin Grammy-winning sound engineer and producer Mariano Beyoglonian will lead the production, recording, mixing and mastering of AON: THE CALL, the debut album from Scotland’s Social Compact Music Project.
The partnership was agreed in September 2025 after Finn Moray creator David Sheret conducted a search for a producer capable of matching the ambition and emotional depth of the fifteen-track album. Several producers were trialled during the process, but it was Beyoglonian — based in Buenos Aires and working from his own Estudio Tritono — who stood apart.
Sheret said: "We trialled a few producers, but Mariano stood out. From the very first conversation, he understood what we were trying to build. This is not a conventional album. Every song is tied to a place, a community, a story. You need someone who can hear that and protect it in the mix. Mariano was the guy who really understood the project."
Beyoglonian, whose Latin Grammy wins in 2019 and 2023 reflect over twenty years of experience across genres from tango and classical to contemporary pop and folk, was equally enthusiastic about the collaboration.
He said: "David has this ability to really enthusiastically sell you on the project, and when I heard the songs I was blown away by his lyrics and the way he could find the soul of each song. I take meaning and messages that want to be shared by the musician in every song or album, and I print them to the mix, enhancing the musician’s creation. This has been a fantastic project to be involved in. I’m excited to see where the music goes and I’m really looking forward to working with the talent and creating music from the other side of the world."

The partnership between Sheret in Aberdeen and Beyoglonian in Buenos Aires represents a genuinely international collaboration, but one that remains rooted firmly in Scottish identity. Every track on AON: THE CALL is written about a specific Scottish town or village, and the production approach is designed to honour the character of each place rather than impose a uniform sound.
Beyoglonian’s approach to mixing — treating each song as a translation of meaning rather than a technical exercise — aligns naturally with Finn Moray’s ethos. His experience working across diverse musical traditions, from Argentine tango to orchestral classical, gives him the range to handle an album that moves between folk, rock, pop and cinematic storytelling.
AON: THE CALL is the first of two planned albums under the Finn Moray banner. The fifteen-track record covers communities from Shetland to the Scottish Borders, with each song carrying the name, history and spirit of a specific place. The album’s title takes its name from the Scottish Gaelic word for ‘one’ — a reflection of the project’s belief that music can unite communities across the country.
With Beyoglonian now confirmed as the project’s sound engineer and producer, the team moves into the production phase with confidence that the technical and creative foundations are in place to deliver an album worthy of the communities it represents.
As with every element of Finn Moray, the partnership operates under the project’s published Social Compact, which commits fifty per cent of all net profits to Scottish community, cultural and charitable causes. The remaining fifty per cent is reinvested into sustaining and growing the project, ensuring that the music continues to serve the communities that inspire it.
"Scotland has a creator class that deserves to be taken seriously. People who build audiences through craft, consistency, and character, and who often carry community on their shoulders without ever calling it that. The Finn Awards is our way of recognising that work properly, with heart, and with a structure that ensures the value flows back into Scotland through each winner's chosen charity whilst also supporting and recognising them."
