In a full and frank conversation, David Sheret, creator of Finn Moray and the songwriter producer behind AON: THE CALL, sits down with legendary Scottish BBC radio and television presenter Richard Gordon to unpack the idea, the intent, and the personal reckoning that lit the fuse. Sheret speaks plainly about turning grief into momentum, and about why he is choosing to spend his remaining years on the planet doing three things that cannot be faked: creating work with integrity, returning value to the Scottish communities that inspire it, and building a platform where undiscovered talent can be seen and heard.
Adele Henderson — The First Live Voice of AON: THE GATHERING
Aberdeenshire singer Adele Henderson has been selected as the first live artist for AON: THE GATHERING. Mum of two from Aberchirder in Banffshire, Adele will carry Foggie on stage — a track written by Finn Moray about the village and its people. Her selection marks a significant moment for the project, offering early proof that its Social Compact, built on finding talent, fairness, place and community benefit, is already working in practice. The song and the project were showcased on BBC Radio Scotland's Off the Ball with Tam Cowan and Stuart Cosgrove.
Rhuaridh McHardy — The Second Live Voice of AON: THE GATHERING
A 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Netherley, near Stonehaven, has been confirmed as the second live voice selected for AON: THE GATHERING. Rhuaridh McHardy has been awarded the vocal role on I'm The Bridge, one of two songs rooted in Aberdeen within the fifteen-track album that is building a living musical map of Scotland, town by town and village by village. Currently studying Business at Edinburgh Napier University, Rhuaridh remains closely connected to the north east and was selected following a competitive review process focused on vocal quality, authenticity and connection to place. His full interview, led by BBC presenter Richard Gordon, gives audiences a closer look at both the young singer and the wider cultural ambition behind AON.
